Dr. Forest Christopher Port has proudly called Western North Carolina home for more than 28 years, providing exceptional dental care to patients from Hendersonville to Asheville and surrounding communities. Known for his expertise in “Smile Rejuvenation,” Dr. Port combines advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry with a personalized approach that helps patients regain health, function, confidence, and beautiful smiles.

Originally interested in architecture and design, Dr. Port ultimately chose to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and pursue dentistry. After completing college in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 1998. Shortly after graduation, he and his wife Heather moved to Western North Carolina, where he began serving patients in Hendersonville in 1999.

In 2000, Dr. Port pursued advanced cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry training at the internationally recognized Nash Institute in Charlotte, NC. He later became a clinical instructor there, working alongside renowned cosmetic dentists Dr. Ross Nash and Dr. Robert Lowe. From 2005–2007, Dr. Port also served as a private dental consultant and educator, helping dental teams across the country improve patient care, communication, and clinical outcomes.

In 2007, Dr. Port relocated his practice to Arden and rebranded as Asheville Smile Center, where advanced-level dental care has remained the primary focus for nearly two decades. In 2011, he co-authored the bestselling book More Than a Mouthful, which educates readers on the connection between oral health and overall wellness.

Committed to lifelong learning and evolving dental technology, Dr. Port continues to pursue advanced education in smile makeovers, clear aligner orthodontics, bite reconstruction, and tooth replacement therapy to provide patients with the highest level of care possible.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Port enjoys spending time with his wife Heather and their children, Hailey and Hunter. He also enjoys woodworking and renovation projects, motorcycle rides with his father, and beach trips with his family.
